Latest Updates from SecureSafe

September 14, 2026
Mobile 2.5.0 (iOS only)
Mobile app

This update introduces a second layer of protection for the files you share, plus a few fixes to make finding and reading your content easier.

What's New

  • Share Code for SecureSend: You can now protect a shared file with a one-time security code. Choose "Share Code" before sending, then view or copy the code in the app and pass it to your recipient separately, so only they can open the file.

Improvements

  • Long file and folder names – Names that are too long to fit are now neatly shortened in lists, search results and the options menu, keeping everything readable.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where folders did not appear in search results inside a safe.

Mobile 2.4.1 (Android only)
Mobile app

This release addresses two issues that could affect navigation and login on Android.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the Files or Passwords tab could disappear from navigation for some accounts.
  • Fixed an issue where a problem with the local security key could disable biometric login, saved usernames, autofill, or auto-lock settings. These can now be turned back on as needed.

Web/Server 120.0.0
Web app

This release strengthens how files are shared and gives team safe members a clearer view of what happens inside their team safe.

What's New

  • Security Code for shared files: You can now protect a SecureSend with a security code. Recipients must enter it before they can see or download anything, so a forwarded or intercepted link on its own is not enough to reach your files. The code is generated separately from the link, and you can copy both from the confirmation page.
  • Activity Log now available in the web app: See what has happened in team safes you are a member of, with entries showing who did what by name. Names stay encrypted end to end, so readability does not come at the cost of privacy. The log shows activity from the point the feature goes live, keeping the view relevant and easy to read.

Improvements

  • Longer SecureSend messages – The message you send alongside your files now uses the same length limit on web as on mobile.
  • SecureSend expiry enforced on download – Expired SecureSend links are now blocked at the point of download, not only at sign-in, so files behind an expired SecureSend link cannot be reached.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where storage usage for a personal safe could be reported incorrectly for users on a shared plan.
  • Fixed an issue where the password generator mode label was cut off in German and Italian.

Mobile 2.4.0
Mobile app

This release adds secure file sharing on Android, a new enterprise sign-in option on both platforms, and several improvements to file and settings management.

What's New

  • SecureSend (Android): Share a file securely straight from the app. Generate a protected link, set who can access it and for how long (from 10 minutes up to unlimited), and add a short message. This brings Android in line with the secure file sharing capability already available on iOS.
  • Sign in with Microsoft Entra ID (Android and iOS): Log in using your Microsoft Entra ID account through your organization's identity provider, extending single sign-on support to mobile.

Improvements

  • Cleaner Files screen (Android and iOS): Trash has moved to an icon in the top bar on both platforms, leaving more room for your files.
  • About page (Android and iOS): A new About section in Settings gives you quick access to the End User Terms, Privacy Policy, General Terms, and Data Processing Agreement, along with your current app version.
  • Trash folders (Android): You can now open folders inside Trash and restore or delete the files nested within them.
  • Smoother folder moves (iOS): When moving a folder, you can no longer select it as its own destination. VoiceOver now explains why, replacing a confusing error message.

Bug Fixes

  • Sign-in crash (Android): Fixed a rare crash that could occur when signing in.
